She did it! Lisa won her bid for Cranbury Township Committee.

We have been thrilled to support Lisa’s campaign from the start and are even more thrilled to see her hard work pay off.

On election night Lisa was just over 20 votes down but in the long period of counting following election day, as mail-in ballots and provisionals were tabulated, she narrowed the gap and ultimately overtook her opposition. What an accomplishment!

Lisa won her election by just six votes, which tells you how much voting matters, particularly in small towns like Cranbury.

During the campaign, Lisa seemed to be everywhere at once: Teddy’s, New York, Paris, Skeet’s Pantry, Cranbury Inn! She balanced being a busy mom and busy CEO with running for office and proved to everyone that she keeps her promises and meets her obligations.

Mayor Barbara Rogers and Lisa Knierim will soon be sitting together on the dais at Town Hall!

When Lisa first told us she wanted to run for Township Committee we were impressed by her energy, priorities, and determination to represent all Cranburians. Her election shows she was able to communicate her goals and connect with residents.

We were particularly impressed by how Lisa prepared for Candidates Night hosted by the Cranbury Women’s Club. She presented her platform clearly and also answered tough questions on the fly. She showed her passion for community service, willingness to learn, and determination to support her community, win or lose.

We also got to see how well Lisa’s goals complemented those of our other candidate, Mayor Barbara Rogers. They showed their spirit of collaboration and how well they will be able to work together when Lisa joins Barbara on the dais.

Congratulations, Lisa! We cannot wait to see what lies ahead.
