Places to donate

COVID-19 has affected those most in need throughout New Jersey, while at the same time donations of food, money and blood have plummeted. If you are able, please consider making a donation to the organization of your choice. Local organizations accepting donations are listed below:

SKEET’S PANTRYCranburyFood Donations Needed – Skeet’s Food Pantry Cranbury First Presbyterian Church – is still accepting donations on the front porch of Fellowship Hall. Skeets Pantry

FLAG (Front Line Appreciation Group) – Cranbury – Provides meals to essential medical workers from local Cranbury restaurants giving Cranbury residents that are sheltering-in-place at home an opportunity to help their community in crisis.

RISEHightstownFood, Funds and Thrift Items Needed – Rise is a non-profit community support organization that offers support with food, shelter, personal care items, ESL classes and more for those in need and recovering from setbacks. They are organizing a specific COVID-19 response effort. To donate and learn more, visit their site.

ST. ANTHONY OF PADUA CATHOLIC CHURCHHightstownMonetary Donations Needed They are collecting funds for parishioners who have lost jobs. They are accepting donations via Venmo, Zelle, Online Giving, and checks or gift cards (like for ShopRite). Visit their donation page here.

JEWISH FAMILY AND VOCATIONAL SERVICE Monroe Township – Funds and Drivers Needed – They are the only Kosher Food Pantry in Middlesex County and serve everyone regardless of race, sex, religion. They are making a particular effort to help secure kosher foods for those in need during Passover. Visit their site here for more information.

SHARE MY MEALSPrincetonDonate Unused Ingredients that can be turned into healthy, balanced meals – The Share My Meals organization describes itself saying, as a “non-profit organization that fights food insecurity in the Princeton area. We work with local entities seeking to curb the environmental impact of food waste by providing their excess inventory to people in need.” Read about their current efforts in Princeton Planet and find out more about how you can help here.

TRENTON AREA SOUP KITCHENTrentonFunds Donations Needed – TASK provides more than 3,000 free meals per week to people in need in the Trenton area.  Visit their donation page here.

HOMEFRONTLawrencevilleFood, Diapers, Funds and Furnishings Needed -HomeFront’s mission is to end homelessness in Central New Jersey by harnessing the caring, resources and expertise of the community. You can make a financial contribution directly through their main website. They are also maintaining an Amazon Wish List with specific items needed.

AMERICAN RED CROSSPrinceton Blood Donations Needed – The closest site is on Alexander Road in Princeton – Call ahead 1-800-RED CROSS to set up an appointment for regular donation or sign up online to make a plasma donation. Safety precautions are in place to protect donors from COVID-19. Access their website for more information.

NEW JERSEY PANDEMIC RELIEF FUND – raises funds and organizes and coordinates resources to fight the medical, social and economic impact of COVID-19 on New Jersey’s most vulnerable.
