Our Candidates 2024

We support Democrats who show commitment to preserving our town’s high quality of life and financial health. They prioritize public service, safety, and community building. They are proven communicators and collaborators and always go the extra mile for their neighbors. We think Rob and Eman have all these qualities and many, many more. They exemplify everything we hope for in local leadership.

Eman El-Badawi

History was made in 2021 when Eman was elected as Cranbury Township’s first minority Township Committee member and in 2024 she was appointed Mayor. Eman’s dedicated effort towards Cranbury has seen her serving on the Mayor’s Wellness Campaign, the Library Foundation, Planning Board, Traffic Subcommittee and Affordable Housing Committee. Seeing a need to support the growing population of seniors in Cranbury, this year Eman started a Senior Interest Committee. Eman is also active within the school community taking on roles in the PTO and volunteering for activities, including the Cranbury Craft Show.

In addition to her township commitments, iInterfaith work and community building are a focus for Eman. She is the Outreach Director for the Islamic Network Group (ING), an educational organization that works towards cultivating community understanding and peace. Additionally, Eman is an active member of the Interfaith Committee at her local mosque, and she is a Regional Coordinator for the Sisterhood of Salam Shalom, an initiative that seeks to bring together Muslim and Jewish women. Through the the local church, Eman is a member of a dedicated team at Skeet’s pantry that deals with food insecurity within the Trenton area. Eman has also worked in several capacities to serve struggling communities;  most recently focusing on the homeless, refugees and marginalized women and children.

Eman is committed to the preservation of Cranbury’s history, green spaces, and responsible growth, all while maintaining good fiscal responsibility. She aims to meet the challenges that face Cranbury as they come and she has cultivated good relations with neighboring towns, and elected county officials to build that support network every community benefits from.

We could not be more impressed by Eman’s accomplishments and proud to endorse her for a second term.

Cranbury resident Rob Christopher has volunteered in many capacities including serving on the Board of Education.

The CDC is pleased to endorse Robert Christopher as our Democratic candidate for the Cranbury Township Committee in 2024.
