Barbara Rogers

The CDC is proud to endorse Barbara Rogers as our Democratic candidate for the Cranbury Township Committee in 2025.

A 28 year resident of Cranbury, Barbara holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Science from Rutgers and has served as mayor and a two-term member of the Township Committee. Her focus on cost-saving projects that improve life in the town has brought bike paths, wellness programs, and community solar to residents. She and her husband, Bob, raised their three children in Cranbury, all of whom are Cranbury school and Princeton High School graduates. Barbara enjoys the outdoors, playing tennis, and spending time with friends and neighbors.

As a member of the township committee, Barbara’s goals for the township are to:

  • Communicate and collaborate with all residents.
  • Advocate for Cranbury’s future through relationship building and active participation with the community.
  • Remain environmentally-conscious focused on affordable sustainability.
  • Optimize quality of life for all residents through health & wellness initiatives.

Barbara brings decades of local government experience focused on keeping taxes low. She has worked successfully on regional projects to address traffic, flooding, and environmental concerns in Cranbury. She helps coordinate partnerships between the town and volunteers to encourage community involvement.

Grants that she has secured for the township include projects like the Bike Network Plan, Community Energy Grant, and Regional Flooding Study.

Barbara was named a Sustainability Hero in April, 2023 by Sustainable Jersey!
