Successful remote swearing in for Township Committee

This year’s swearing in for Cranbury’s Township Committee took place on January 3, 2022 via Zoom due to COVID-19 restrictions, but was well attended and went smoothly despite the unusual format.

First-term Committee member Eman El-Badawi, the first Muslim and only sixth woman ever to serve on the TC, was sworn in by Assemblyman Dan Benson. Committee member Barbara Rogers who is serving the third year of her first term in office was sworn in as mayor. Michael Ferrante took the oath of office after winning his second term on the Committee.

With second term Committee member Matt Scott, Ferrante, Rogers, and El-Badawi make up the four-member Democratic majority on the TC.
