Thomas “Tom” Szczur, Jr.

Tom and his wife, Fallon, moved to Cranbury from New York City during the pandemic. They were drawn to the small-town feel and close-knit community that they knew would be instrumental in raising their children who are now six, four, and one-year-old. They are all regulars at Cranbury parks and playgrounds.

Since moving to Cranbury, Tom has volunteered with the Municipal Alliance Committee (current) and the Economic Development and Advisory Committee, through which he helped coordinate the Resident Survey that was distributed in 2023 and presented findings to the Township Committee. As part of that survey experience, Tom learned how much pride residents take in living in Cranbury—something he and his family share. He is committed to advocating for the residents of Cranbury and ensuring that the Township Committee continues to focus on initiatives that preserve Cranbury’s small town feel while also pursuing smart investments for the future.

Tom believes in servant leadership; he is a proud and practicing Catholic, an active blood donor, and a marathon runner and triathlete—often doing races for charity and training primarily in Cranbury (if only he could swim in Brainerd Lake!). You will likely see him running on Old Trenton Road and Main Street and he is always looking for friendly waves…especially as the miles get tough!

Tom grew up in Johnstown, PA, received his B.S. in accounting from Saint Francis University and is a Certified Public Accountant in New Jersey and New York. He has spent his career primarily in finance and accounting.

If you’d like to have a conversation with Tom about his interest in serving the community, please fill out this meeting request form—he is eager to hear feedback and continue engaging with Cranbury residents in a positive way.
